Gene expression is inherently variable. Biological variability in gene expression results from heterogeneity of disease, biochemical differences between patients and environmental factors such as patient stress, diet, time of day, etc.; this variability creates reproducibility issues for tests that assess absolute gene expression levels. Since Dynemo assesses expression ratios, large scale effects on the absolute level of gene expression in a cell do not hinder its accuracy or reproducibility.

Since Dynemo does not rely on a fixed panel of genes, the algorithm is adaptable to many different applications. Customers can use the same platform to develop biomarkers for a variety of indications.
